CALL FOR PAPERS

The AP-iConference 2026 is the Asia-Pacific regional conference of the iSchools organization, open to all information scholars, researchers, and practitioners worldwide. It serves as a premier venue for cutting-edge research in information science, data science, and AI-driven innovation.

The conference theme, “AI-Empowered Information Science: Bridging Disciplines, Transforming Futures,” highlights the transformative role of artificial intelligence in reshaping information ecosystems, bridging disciplinary boundaries, and driving sustainable futures.

We welcome submissions from all areas of information science.

iSchools affiliation is not required.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Short Papers：6–8 pages + references
  • Student Symposium：Presentation proposals from graduate students, including master's and doctoral students. The topics of submissions may or may not be directly relevant to the conference theme because we recognize that students have many interests and study areas. Leading researchers from ICADL and iSchools as well as members of the organizing team will attend the event and offer feedback and recommendations to assist students in reviewing and refining their research as well as developing their research plans. The following tracks are available during the student symposium.

The following tracks are available during the student symposium:

  • Track 1: Completed and ongoing research (for master's and doctoral students); Proposals may be made by one or more authors. The first author should be a student and present their research at the symposium.
  • Track 2: Research plans for doctoral degrees (Doctoral Consortium Sessions): Doctorate students should submit proposals.

All proposals should be written in English and include the following:

Regarding Track 1:
  • Section 1: Author(s): name, their institutional affiliations, and five to ten keywords.
  • Section 2: Abstract (no more than 500 words)
Regarding Track 2:
  • Section 1: A brief (100 to 150 words) introductory statement explaining: who the applicant is, their institutional affiliation, supervisors, and (provisional) thesis title, five to ten keywords; the applicant’s current stage of their graduate career (beginning, completion of required courses or initial candidacy stage, full doctoral status, data collection and analysis, about to submit thesis etc.); and an explanation of what they hope to gain from attending the symposium.
  • Section 2: A research statement of no more than 500 words describing their dissertation project.

Short papers and proposals for the student symposium will be submitted via Easychair for the ICADL conference paper submissions via the AP-iConference 2026 track. Accepted contributions must be presented by the authors at the scheduled sessions.

All submissions must be in English, in PDF format. Papers should follow Springer Computer Science Proceedings guidelines.

All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

Conference Venue

The conference will be held at Khon Kaen University, Thailand, during 2-4 December 2026.
